Jack Clark (formerly with G.E. Nuclear, San Jose) has close to 40 years experience in nondestructive examination (NDT). This experience is related to both power plants under construction and to operating plants. He specializes in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and holds 12 patent awards related to procedures and mechanized equipment to conduct NDT examinations of both pressure vessel and piping components and systems. He is experienced with Radiography (RT), Eddy Current (ET), Liquid Penetrants (PT), Visual (VT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Acoustic Emission (AE), ultrasonic resonance testing to determine mechanical properties, helium leak testing, electrified particle testing and thermal bond testing using both heat sensitive paints and infrared.
Mr. Clark studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati and is currently a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio.
He can provide you with expert consultation with regards to inspection problems, procedures, NDT system design concepts, techniques, and equipment. He can also assist you with liaison between the field and engineering or regulatory personnel. In addition, he can assist you in establishing your own NDT facility or laboratory, if that is your goal.
